The berries were all been eaten and what left was the straw, but it seems that the over-creative fashion industry has given it a whole new facelift. Being different is now the statement straw is putting forth, at least, in the handbag domain.

Colorful and funky, the straw handbags are the latest trend a worldwide eco-consciousness has given rise to. Uniquely appealing, they are spreading the message of return-to-nature globally this summer.

However, it’s just not only for the looks; the straw handbags are also a practical choice. There always remains present a fabric sewn inside with layers of internal lining. Overall, they are both delicate and wild to look at; thanks to the traditional, Chinese craftsmanship.

Following the new trend, there has also been a plethora of other natural materials that have been drawn into the fashion domain, including jute, bamboo shoots and natural grass; often these are found decorated with leather, seashells and semi-precious stones to bring about the required ornamentation.

It was not a new idea. It was just a ‘80s trend comeback. The 2008 summer was; however, a bit more inclined. But neither the Batgirl, nor the Supergirl was the generator of the trend; the idea was capable of becoming one of the most ubiquitous fashion trends on its own. There were bifurcations, though; one was trans-seasonal while the other was a new outlook towards tights and stockings. The chief thought behind had been turning an accessory to a feature piece following the ripped stockings trend. But, it’s tough looking attractive in lingerie than appearing cheap, so the safest had been thought of in the forms of suspenders, stay-ups, camisoles and slips. (more…)

The heat is almost on and we felt it approaching since this spring, so it’s high time we get to know of the major runaway fashion trends before it’s autumn.

Funky Leggings in bright designs promise being around for a while. The floral styles are a big hit with denim skirts. Or, say the geometric shapes on the shorts, all matched with a good pair of shoes.  If you like shorts no bigger than underwear, the best way to compliment it will be jackets and knee-high boots. Or, you may go the Gold Rush way with heaps of glittery and shiny materials on a black sequin dress. A reasonable shift from that could be a bright pink or gold jacket on a pair of black jeans with heels to go with it. Both impart a girly and up to date look.
